FAQ
Frequently asked questions about suspension service, tuning and shop.
Yes, that is our speciality. We look at rider weight, skill level and riding discipline and set the suspension up individually for you. With a professional suspension setup we make sure your bike matches your riding style. Our state-of-the-art suspension dyno gives us exact data on the damping behaviour on top of that.
It determines the balance between the front and the rear wheel. Sag that is set wrong gives you handling that is far from optimal. Wrong sag also increases the risk of crashing.
Shock absorber service approx. €180 to €360, depending on the type and how worn it is. Fork service approx. €240 to €480, depending on the type and how worn it is.
Basic adjustments such as sag or clicks can often be made on the suspension yourself. More complex work such as tuning, oil changes or individual damping adjustments does require expertise and experience – that is a job for a professional.
Yes. Motocross setups are stiffer and more direct, enduro setups have to work faster and usually work deeper in the stroke as well.
More control, comfort and safety. The bike sits more stable, responds more precisely and the rider saves energy. Tuning matches the suspension to the individual rider.
Yes, every suspension can be adjusted individually. By setting spring rate, damping, oil level and setup correctly, it can be matched optimally to rider weight, riding style and riding discipline.
If your suspension is not set up correctly, the usual signs are nervous handling, the bike diving too much, a lack of grip or tiring quickly while riding. A correctly set up suspension noticeably improves stability, comfort, safety and riding fun.
Our recommendation: every 30–50 operating hours (motocross/enduro); on road bikes roughly every 10,000 km, depending on mileage.
So that damping, safety and comfort are kept intact. Oil ages, seals wear out. A service extends the service life and protects the surfaces.
